Proposal: The Honest Poll × Pulse Polls

Mark Mitchell launched The Honest Polling Company in July 2026 to poll for the public, not for power — transparent methods, no PAC, no party. The first Honest Poll national tracking survey (fielded 29 August–1 September 2026, n = 951 registered voters, ±3.4%) is already out: generic House ballot 50% Democrat / 40% Republican, Trump approval 41%, roughly two-thirds wrong-track. The YouTube funnel that once carried Rasmussen’s numbers is now the Honest Poll channel. The gap between now and the 3 November 2026 general election is weeks, not months. Pulse is how that shop goes from one national release to a living map.

Start with the same questions Honest Poll would put in a national tracker. Pulse matches volunteers by domicile ZIP, so the identical instrument can also field as a city pulse, a congressional district, or a media market — without a new vendor stack. Thin cells stay hidden until n is honest.

Write the poll on the web (survey setup). It appears in the volunteer catalog and on the iPhone app. Testers can join at pulsepolls.app, take it in the browser, or install TestFlight. No App Store wait for Honest Poll staff who already have the public link.

03 · Ask, then ping

SMS / WhatsApp / Signal

After a volunteer builds an account, they can request field alerts on the channel they actually answer: SMS, WhatsApp, or Signal. New instruments and top-ups land as a personal ping — not a blast list — so a district pulse can be in the field overnight.

Mitchell has said the Honest Poll YouTube and site are built for everyday Americans, not insiders, and that custom work runs questionnaire-to-crosstab by hand. Pulse does not replace that craft. It is the rapid layer: ZIP-level sample, 2-D agree × importance, Rasmussen-style cuts, and a phone in the volunteer’s pocket. Outreach between now and Election Day is a cadence problem. This is the cadence.
